Toyota Prius Faces Ban on the Violating Products in US

>> 06 September 2009

Paice, a company that develops hybrid electric power train, has filed a classification of patent infringement against Toyota (again), saying it Paice technology used in the hybrid Prius and two other vehicles. Paice should win games for the deaths of some imported vehicles, including possibly the Prius green icon.

According to an article in Sam Eaton of Marketplace, Paice claims new Toyota Prius, Camry hybrid and two Lexus models made by Paice technology. Back in 2005, the company won an action against Toyota for this violation. Toyota claim that up to 4.3 million U.S. dollars the cost - $ 25 for every Prius, Highlander and Lexus RX400h sold using the technology at issue. According to Toyota, again with the same technology and therefore has a chance to fight this claim.

Because Toyota is Toyota, say industry experts to the likely outcome is a rather large fine, and not a ban on imports of vehicles incredibly popular.

Here's a little kicker: With the last pic "Paice said the market for hybrid cars will not take off" until Toyota "of his vehicle program with a patented technology Paice nearly a decade earlier renewed." So If a company has a technology that can be a great boon for drivers and the environment, and they sit in a decade, has a competing company that finally something for them and make it a success really need d 'be called repeatedly use? Paice seems a little to blame, not satisfied with intelligent technology.

It's a delicate situation, and we certainly do not want to hybrid vehicles Toyota has banned imports of American show, because another company could not fly to make their own technology.
